I don't know all the details; I'm just passing along the information. But a campground host is needed this summer in the Chisos Basin of Big Bend National Park in southwestern Texas.

You beat me to the posting. I just saw this on Facebook and was about to post it.
You cant beat the quiet & scenery. The campground should not be busy in the summer. CG is first come first serve in summer, so no reservations to deal with, other than the nearby group site.
Full hookups. It can be a little warm in the afternoons, but pleasant at night.
And Big Bend is HOT in the summer. Keep that in mind.

I wouldn't say it is HOT. At 5300' at the campground in the Chisos Basin it wouldn't be like it is along the river at 1800'. While the CG doesn't have hookups, both camp host sites have full hookups.
Do camp hosts have a way to have internet access from their rig?
There is a size limit on RV length.
There is a size limit on RV length.
Not for camp hosts. The camp host campsites are long enough for at least 38-40' rigs. I am not sure what the park has the hosts do with a large tow vehicle. There is parking area very near the CG loops that has room a large tow vehicle.
There is a "recommended" length restriction of 24' for motorhomes and 22' for tow behinds. Mostly because the campsites at the Chisos Basin CG are very short and the road going up to the Basin has some sharp turns that make the drive tricky. However the National Park does not restrict the 40' tour buses from bringing groups up to the lodge.
When we stayed in the basin in our 29' MH the two camp host's rigs were in the 35'-38' range. The also had their toads parked in their campsite.
NOTE: Anyone thinking about taking a MH over 24' or a trailer over 22' be sure to drive up w/o the RV to be sure you can find a campsite large enough for your rig.

When we were there in Jan 2017 I did not think to ask the camp host if they had internet access provided.
Our Verizon phones barely had enough signal to send/rcv text. Even that was not reliable. There is free WiFi available at the lodge in the basin. Not very convenient for camp hosts though.

Hosts can get land-line phone service and Internet service at their site in the Basin directly from Big Bend Telephone Co. out of Alpine.
