We currently use a Splendide Combo 2100XC - washer/dryer (seven years now, with excellent results.) We have a 2018 DRV Santa Fe on order and have been looking at different washer/ dryers. Due to configuration of washer/dryer cabinet, it will have to be stackable type units. We are having a 220V outlet installed. Have looked at Whirlpool 7500 models (24" width) but it has very bad ratings. Splendide Ariston units - the dryer is 110V. Regular residential units or 27" in width and seem to be heavier.
What models are you using? 110V vs 220V for dryer good / bad? Problems you have had with the units you are using? Any Santa Fe owners, what washer/dryer have you used.
Thanks in advance.

Splendid makes a 240 volt dryer.  We have one in our DRV.  We are happy with our Splendide set.

With the 240 volt set up you cannot dry clothes if you are on a 30 amp site.

I'd put a gas unit in.

You cannot typically run a genset inside an RV park. Very few will allow it at all, and routine use would be even worse.

Chad, have you measured the actual power use of your dryer? I know what service most require, but how much of that is actually being used? I don't have one to test.

I looked at the floorplan.  Can the divider between the W/D and the pantry be removed and allow you to have a side by side w/d?  If so, is it too late to make changes?

No Jack, I have not.  Next time I run it, I will take some measurements.

Heard from Splendide today, they no longer Manufacture a 220V dryer.

We have had 2 different Spendide W/D stackable set ups in RVs, and now a Whirlpool W/D stackable set.  To my knowledge in the past several years almost all RV dryers have been 110, not 220V.

Probably the best way to help dry clothes faster in an RV dryer is to get the vented model.
