Hi, does anyone know of a book or have any ideas for very simple, very few ingredients for making meals in Dutch ovens or cast iron cookware? I cook mainly over open fire and I have several (6) cookbooks just for this type cooking but they all ask for way too many ingredients.  We don't pack a whole lot of spices.   Our little travel trailer is just right for us but lots of extras is not a good idea.

I'd sure like some good ideas for meals that don't take 12 or more things to prepare them.  Thanks!

I don;t know about over a campfire but there a lot of recipes published as 1 pot and/ 5 ingredients or less.

I subscribe to 3-4 recipe sites but if you Google 1 pot and/or 5 ingredients or less recipes you should start finding them.  I don't even bother with cookbooks any more, there is so much on the internet.

One of my blogging friends loves the Cooking Light line of cookbooks. Here's a link to their 5-ingredient one:  https://www.cookinglight.com/food/quick-healthy/5-ingredient-healthy-recipes

Thank you so much.  I finally did just Google it and found some good ideas, also went to the links suggested and now I,m on my way to easy, simple cooking.  Thanks again.

If you are willing to convert slow cooker recipes to Dutch oven recipes you might like my dump meat "recipes".  https://sandcastle.sandsys.org/2016/02/dump-meats/
