The Anchorage Assembly is considering passing an ordinance banning overnight parking in Anchorage, Alaska, at any commercial business that is not licensed as an RV park.

Lots of folks in bush Alaska call Anchorage "Los Anchorage" because it is just like any other big city anywhere you can see where you are trying to get but can't figure out how to get there because of all the one way streets and such where you have to go right to go left, etc. Not surprised that "Anchorage only 30-minutes from Alaska" would move in that direction.

PS Couldn't help but notice it was an RV park owner that started this movement.
For as long as I can remember, the Walmart's in and around Anchorage have been listed as "no overnight parking" in the list maintained in the Yahoo Group "WalmartRVing". That is not to say people don't park overnight at the Walmart's, but if you were to call the store or go inside and ask, they would say they don't allow overnight parking.
