Looking at google maps, it seems like the grounds are about 1/2 mile x 1/2 mile. Do I have that right?

I would estimate that you are about correct. From the farthest parking areas it would be perhaps 1/4 mile to the main hall, but there will be cart transportation available to those who wish to use it. Just where you will be parked depends upon the type of campsite chosen and when you arrive.
