1. Are there dump stations on the exposition center grounds?
2. On what day(s) Is the pump-out service scheduled?
3. What time on the 29th or 30th do we have to be off the grounds?
Yes, there are dump stations. Pump out service will be Tuesday and Wednesday. Departure on the weekend after Escapade is 12 noon. Hope this helps.
Can we request what day we get pumped out? I thought it would have been later in the week.

Will the dump stations be available for use on the day we arrive (for us, July 23)?
The reason that the information states that you should arrive with your waste tanks empty and your water tank full. We just do not have time to run RV's through the dump station. I'll check with the Bob & Molly, just to verify this. As one who is involved in the parking operation, for the dump station to be used as you arrive, it would need to be somewhere outside of the entrance because there isn't time to run RVs through while we are parking them.
A great deal depends upon the facility and how it is set up and I have not yet seen this one.

Thank you Kirk!
While it is preferred, requested, and makes parking 700+ rigs much easier and faster if folks don't have to line up for the dump station, the dump stations will be available if necessary, for folks to dump on arrival. You will be diverted from the parking que to a dump station line, then return to the line when completed.
As Kirk stated, it makes arrival much faster, safer, and easier for all involved if folks arrive with empty waste tanks and full fresh water. (Can you imagine the back-up if everyone needed to dump and then fill tanks with 700 rigs waiting to do so? )
So thanks in advance to all who are able to accommodate this! It is appreciated by all volunteers, staff, and other attendees! But the dump station is available,as there are folks that may not have other options
If we have signed up for the W/E with pumpout parking, why the need to arrive with a full tank of water?
That probably isn't critical as it would be without, but since the instructions are generic, full is better than empty. We will probably fill up the night before also, even though we too have w/e & pump-out. I'm also bringing along my "blue boy" tank as well, just for security. A full potable water tank is a little bit of security until you get things situated. You may have a longer run for power and water or something of that sort.
Just to be sure, I'll also be bringing a heavy-duty extension cord for the power, just to be sure. Mos fairground's camping areas are not so well laid out as a typical RV park.

I thought I asked this question but can't find it. We signed up for pump out service but I read that it would be Tuesday or Wednesday. I was wondering if we had a choice or could have it later in the week.

I just checked and those two days are the only ones that they will be on site. We are coming in a day early as staff. As mentioned, I'll have my "blue-boy" for plan B.

For what it is worth... we called and signed up for pump out service today, and the person with whom we spoke at the Escapades signup said that the fairgrounds dump station would NOT be available to Escapade participants.

Post #6 is authored by the Escapade directors who are in charge of the entire program and who make such decisions. They are now on site at the Expo Center for duration, while the folks on the phone work in the office in Livingston.

pattic777, I just realized that we failed to welcome you to the forums! Let me correct that now with a big, Escapee hug. Welcome to the forums and I'll be looking forward to seeing you at Escapade.
I just noticed the new seminar schedule on the Escapade web page. It says SAMPLE so I was wondering if it really means SAMPLE or is just a tentative schedule that could change? I'm also curious if any of the seminars are repeated? There are several that I would like to attend that are at the same time and other times that I don't have any that I am interested in.
I am in the final stages of my route planning and looking forward to my first Escapade.

I'll do some checking to verify, but I'm pretty sure that you are correct that it is one which could change. Looking at it, I suspect any change would be minor as I know that several of them are "for sure."
As to seminars being repeated, not usually. I believe that it has been done a few times with subjects of particularly wide interest, but only one time that I can think of. Of course, one of the tentative could also be times and locations, so the conflicting ones may change. Many couples separate with each one covering different subjects to get more information.
