We are on the road again after a two year stay in Colorado. Our new project is a two year tour with stays 3 months at a time.  We are in Oregon working on our project setup, but need to find a better spot off the coast and in towards I5 corridor.  Even two years ago we were finding it very difficult to find rv parks with monthly sites available - or even overnights.  

Any suggestions?  Are there any services that will help you find spots?  I really dislike the process - and disappointment!! 

We also will be heading south in the late fall, so I suspect it will also be a problem so we want to find something now.

Sorry, we never stayed that long in one spot so have no idea how you find them. Most of us who do stay that long are work camping for their spot so I'm not sure who here is going to be able to help you. I know there are parks with monthly rates in the Phoenix area, the Yuma area, and the Rockport, TX, area but we never stayed in any of them. I hope someone who has done so comes along to help you.

We recently stayed in a city park that had a monthly rate, but was an exception to everything we've seen so far. Usually government-run parks have a two-week limit. You might check that idea out.

We've found that commercial parks will have weekly and monthly rates, but may only have limited sites available for those. You might try looking for parks that aren't right by a popular tourist attraction.

Have you tried going to  http://www.campgroundreviews.com/  picking the town or area and browsing for RV Parks and then going to the RV Parks website to see if they have online reservations and if they have an option for monthly stays.  Kind of "let your fingers do the walking" on the internet rather than trying to call on the phone. 

I see many times, in seasonal popular areas, many places don't take monthly stays.  I assume that is for certain parts of the year they stay full, so taking monthly stays would reduce their income.  Other times of the year they take monthly stays to entice people to stay long term.   

This is for RV parks.  For public campgrounds, like state parks, they want to service as much of the "camping" population as possible and don't really want long term stays.

Do you know you opened 2 identical topics in the same forum area?   You might edit one of them to remove the questions so only one of your topics get replies. 

I know of no program that has the access to check every campgrounds availability. Create a list of your first choice down to the last and start calling. You are only doing this a couple of times a year so it should not be that bad. I stay a week to a month at most and move on. So I call campgrounds all the time. And like you stated, there are some areas that you will need to plan way in advance to insure a space.

When in Oregon we stay at the Escapee CoOp (Timber Valley) in Sutherlin.  They even have a Starbucks in the town, right on I-5

I have a 40 foot FW so I find many areas don't accommodate many big rigs. I find Casino's are easy to get in most of the time, but for a month??

A free limited version is available . Allstays is not a rating system but people make comments. Campgroundreviews.com  mentioned earlier is good for the final selection.

X3 on campgroundreviews.com. Choose where you want to stay. Go on their website and look for campgrounds in that area. Most reviews have a link to the campgrounds web site. You can try to book online or call them and ask if monthly rentals are available. 

Besides our winter site in Florida, we have found two different commercial campgrounds that offer monthly sites/rates.  Both are well under $400 a month including utilities and can handle my size.  

I don't know of any magic site you can find monthly rates at different parks.  Use the apps mentioned, or RVParky maybe, and locates ones you are interested in.  Call them and ask about available monthly sites, and if they have them the rates.  That is how we find them.  Good hunting.

OP:  If you're an Escapee member you could stay at the Escapee Co-op in Sutherlin, Oregon monthly - very reasonable and a nice park.

If you're looking for something further north, check out Silver Spur RV Park in Silverton, OR.  Nice park in the country a short drive from Salem.  It's been a few years since I've been there but their web site offers weekly and monthly rates, and mentions there is a waiting list for monthly sites.  Meanwhile you can stay at the weekly rate.

It just takes a little effort to find the good monthly sites.

We are at a nice park in southern Utah currently for a week.  The weekly rate with my veterans discount ends up being $29 per night.  80' pull through, gravel, level, great full hook-ups.  This would certainly be a place we would possibly stay a month in the future.  Found out I could get a monthly rate in the future for just over $300 including electric.
