We’ll be in Livingston early January and it’s time for our annual coach inspection. Anyone have any recommended place that will do inspection on a 45ft motor coach?
From my experience, no. I went to one close to DMV office and was turned down on my truck. He was adamant that if air brakes, no. Included motorhomes also. He was wrong but was determined he was right. I eventually ended up in Channelview. You should be able to find someone closer though. Just wanted to warm you of that. Check if West RV Service inspects.
Thanks, I couldn’t find anyone either last time I looked about 4 years ago. Hoping it had changed, with all the SKPers with large vehicles in this area you’d think someone would fill the need.
i did find someone near Conroe and I could always go back there. But thanks for the reply.
Try Grease Monkey. Close to Walmart.
Strange, in Galveston County Tx., because it is diesel, only lights, horn, turn signals etc. Here any Texdot inspection can do it. http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/index.php?topic=11060.0

They only get $7.50 for the process if you don't need a smog check so they don't/can't do much for the price. In theory, this is what they check.

On Kirk's list, I was told the most important reason for all registered vehicles to have an inspection is # 18 Vin Number versus stolen vehicles.
When in the Livingston area I use Soda Auto Repair for inspections. Maybe 7 miles east of Livingston @ 6709 US Highway 190 East

Howdy!
I get my state inspections done at “Trailer Repair & Maintance” Kyle Thompson owns the place. He’s inspected my 4400 International MDT hauler, 44’ 5er and Smart Car. He’s also done the brake and bearing maintenance on my 5er. He is located just down the road from the Escapees park on FM 1988. He has plenty of room to turn around when you enter.

I have used Soda Auto Repair for several years. He has a large lot in the country that is very Big Rig friendly.
Thanks all. I'll give both of them(Sod and Kyle) a visit when I get there next month.
