Hey Everyone,
We will be visiting the Thousand Island/St. Lawrence River region this June for 6+ weeks. We're looking for your recommendations for campgrounds to stay at, neats towns to check out, sightseeing and cool activities such as white water rafting. Since Ontario is just across the river, please offer any suggestions there to. Thanks for your help!
Our favorite campground in the St Lawrence region is Robert Moses State Park near Massena, NY. The Eisenhower Lock is at the park entrance with a free three story viewing deck for watching the up to 740 ft long ships lock through. The park has a very nice visitors center with a large aquarium and many other wildlife displays. The NY Power Authority also has an excellent visitors center nearby at the international power dam that's shared with Canada. Our favorite campsite at the park is one of several that have good views of the ships passing in and out of the lock.

This KOA campground in Henderson Harbor, https://koa.com/campgrounds/association-island/ , might be a bit far for you, but we enjoyed it before it was a KOA and day tripped to Thousand Islands area.
2X on Robert Moses.
