Has anyone stayed at Sleeping Bear CG? From what I read it is a primitive cg with great views. Can't find much info on it other than very friendly cg owners. Would like a little more info before stopping there. Thanks.

Haven't stayed there but here a not-so-good review:   https://www.reddit.com/r/CampingandHiking/comments/70jmk4/campsite_at_sleeping_bear_campground_monument/

It would be north of Monument Valley toward Mexican Hat off 163 on 419.

Googling I saw a couple YouTube videos of the place.

Monument Valley itself has a dry campground right in front of the Mittens.  When we stayed there it was $5/night;  I believe they added a bathroom and now it's really pricey.  A gorgeous location though.

That's about the reviews I saw also. I think we will go to Goosenecks SP instead.

There is also a BLM campground on the San Juan River between Bluff And Mexican Hat. There is a petroglyph site nearby.

Thanks, I saw that but will try Goosenecks first.
